The final of Top Dog took place on 5 April with Mike Fuller judging. Up to eight finalists vied for Top Dog from the six themes this season. Shadows theme was won by John Kay, one of our newer members, with 'Gaslight' a very popular mono image. Abstract theme was won by Rosi Carpenter, mistress of lockdown photography, with 'Colourwaves' a fabulous creative image. Remake of an old master theme was won by Derek Collis with 'The IV Earl', a favourite image of the judge. Urban landscape theme was won by Laraine Green with 'View from the Shard', a beautiful rainbow cutting through the image. Nursery rhyme theme was won by Brian Fleming with 'Sing a song of sixpence', an extremely creative and exceptional image in its own right. Glass theme was won by Rosi Carpenter with 'Inner Man', another of Rosi's exceptional portfolio of lockdown images and giving her two theme winning images in the final.
Mike Fuller chose Brian Fleming's Sing a Song of Sixpence for his overall winner, with John Kay's Gaslight as runner up and Rosi Carpenter's Inner Man in third place. Well done to all winners and for everyone who took part in this fun competition throughout the season.
