Competition Themes for the season

These ‘theme’ definitions are meant to give you guidance and are not definitive.  Your imagination may allow a far wider interpretation of the theme than is provided here!  

 

Digital manipulation and creative photography is allowed unless specified otherwise.  

 

TOP DOG COMPETITIONS (all projected image)

Please note that two entries per theme, per member, are allowed in this competition.

Theme 1  In the Air

Ideas could range from beautiful sunset colours, to birds in flight, to cloud formations, to aircraft, or even astronomy photography. This is a wide ranging theme that gives a lot of opportunity for you to use your imagination.

Theme 2  Yellow

How artistic could you make an image of a banana or a yellow balloon? This is a chance to choose something that perhaps is commonplace or maybe even quite unusual - but where the main colour is yellow - and make something fantastic from it.

 

LEAGUE TABLE COMPETITIONS

 

These will all be ‘Open’ competitions in the 2026-2027 year.

-  Competition entries (for both mainstream and Top Dog) should be all your own work. This means that every element of a picture should have been created by you. You must not use images from the web or other sources, nor should you use clip art.

 

-  Although we all like to pick up ideas from other people, you should not overtly or directly copy an image that is not yours. 

 

These are important points as we need to make sure everyone is judged on a level playing field. In addition, the EAF has the power to disqualify clubs found to be using other authors’ work or making copies of such work. Thank you.
