Mersea/Halstead Interclub
26th March 2026
Last Thursday (26th March) we hosted our annual Interclub with Mersea Island. It was a really good evening, in spite of us having quite a few people unable to attend. We were well supported from Mersea Island, so we did have a fair number of people in attendance.
It was a good close contest, judged by a harsh, but generally fair, Tony Bramley, and as you'll see from below, we managed to win both sections this year. A great result for us!
The Overall scores were as follows:-

Tony's pick of the Prints was Rob's ‘The Girl with the Faraway Eyes’ and his pick for the PDIs was a mono reportage image from Mersea called Romanian Girls.
This was the first outing for our new projector, and it performed brilliantly. It will need a little tweaking as we get used to it, but the images were very clear and the colour rendition was excellent.
Many thanks and well done to everyone who let us use their images, and thanks to all who came along and helped out on the evening.

Twin Towns Competition
13th November 2025
With thanks to club members for their support on Thursday, when we enjoyed another Twin Towns evening.
As usual there was a wide range of images, both genre & style, all judged by Mike Fuller with his usual flair. As ever his love of the story portrayed in each image shone through & having selected a range of images that I thought would help in that regard we achieved a very creditable 2nd place. Colchester once again took 1st place with a wonderful range of images. They also took the award for Best Image of the evening with 'Shall We Dance'. Brian is kindly working on an AV which we will make available enabling members not there on Thursday to view the full entry.
